About Disys Technologies
Founded in 2001 by directors Phil Watts and Steve Hibbs, Disys Technologies produce control systems for fire and smoke dampers for various clients throughout the UK and Ireland. Phil has over 28 years experience in electronic engineering and Steve has had a background in electronics since leaving school, as well as serving for 12 years in the Royal Air Force.
Phil and Steve met whilst working together for another electronic engineering company and quickly realised their future would be better served running their own business.
"We started Disys Technologies originally to manufacture electronics but as we saw an increasing demand for damper control solutions we decided to focus our attentions on producing systems that provide instantaneous real time monitoring and control of dampers" states Phil.
This resulted in the manufacture of the DCS-100, a Control Panel that utilises the latest in micro-controller technology. The DCS-100 is incredibly flexible allowing dampers to be added, deleted or re-allocated to different fire zones quicky and simply and its innovative design has been recognised as finalists in the 2006 winnovate business design awards.

- Portsmouth Hospital
- Commissioned 1173 dampers in Portsmouth Hospital. The system consisted of 123 zones with 7 panels and touch screen overrides.
- Southmead Hospital
- Southmead Hospital, Bristol required a 123 damper system which utilised 2 DCS-100 control panels.
- Lynebank Hospital, Dunfermline
- Installed damper control system for Lynebank Hospital in Dunfermline, Scotland.

- The shopping centre in Kensington High Street required a DCS-100 control panel and a mimic panel to control their dampers.

Awarded the contract to install 245 controlled smoke dampers and 375 monitored fire dampers at the new hospital in Mountain Ash. The system will contain 4 panels and will include the new touch screen damper control system.
